Sean Penn Calls off Divorce
Sean Penn calls off his divorce yet again from his wife actress Robyn Wright Penn. This is the second time he has done this since he filed for divorce just weeks after seeking a legal separation.
Oscar winner Sean Penn and Robyn have been married for 13 years and separated on the grounds of “irreconcilable difference.” However, he has withdrawn his court application filed in Marin County, near San Francisco.
When asked by reporters about the change of heart, he said “It was an arrogant mistake.”
A while back in December of 2007, the couple were also about to break up but reconciled a couple of months later. Sean and Robyn have two children, aged 18 and 15.
Marriage is tough in Hollywood. I hope they make it.
Paris Hilton – Almost Engaged?
Celeb Gossip. It seems Doug Reinhardt, Paris Hilton’s boyfriend is telling British newspapers he is going to ask Paris to marry him, but he doesn’t know when. “I don’t want to ruin the surprise,” he told them.
They have been dating almost five months – can you believe it? However, Doug doesn’t seem to think he should wait any longer.
In 2003, Paris Hilton was earlier engaged to a model named Jason Shaw and, in 2005, a Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis. The girl gets around.

American Idol – the Finale
Tonight was the night on American Idol when they decided who is this year’s American Idol. Adam Lambert or Chris Allen.
It was a star studded night with performances from all the finalists of American Idol and such big names as Rod Stewart, Queen Latifa, Cyndy Lauper, Queen, the Black Eyed Peas, Lionel Ritchie, Carlos Santana and Fergie.
After all the American Idol awards for Outstanding Male and Outstanding Female, the American public – over 100 million votes, voted for Chris Allen. Chris Allen is the new American Idol.
I think many were shocked by the vote. Simon Cowell had mentioned today that there might be an upset. He was right. It seems that the American Idol audience wanted someone who was more the all-American type. We are certain that we have not heard the end of Adam Lambert though and that goes beyond the American Idol summer tour.

American Idol, The Final Battle
On American Idol tonight, it was the battle between the Acoustic rocker versus the Glam Rocker, Conway vs. California – Adam Lambert and Chris Allen.
Tonight was a special night on American Idol, the judges were all dressed up, other disqualified contestants of American Idol, and even Anthony Hopkins were in the audience. After a coin toss, which Chris won, Chris decided that he would go 2nd in the round of songs between he and Adam.
Adam started off the night singing his previously performed song, “It’s a Mad World”. Randy said that Adam showed his sensitive side, Kara DioGuardi said she was so happy he chose this song which shows what an incredible artist he is. Paula Abdul called Adam, “astonishingly handsome”, loved his coat, long, black and dark. But Simon didn’t like the coat and the dry ice effect and found it “over dramatic,” though Simon thought Adam’s performance was his best performance.
Chris followed up with his fabulous rendition of “Ain’t No Sunshine.” Everybody’s loving it. Round One goes to Chris.
Round 2, Adam sings an R & B classic, “Change is Gonna Come.” Randy reaffirmed the real reason Adam is here and that is to sing his face off. Kara called it Adam’s best performance and best interpretation – a winning combination. Paula said it was the best she’s ever heard him sing and forecast that Adam will be iconic. And what did Simon say? Simon said that all he can say is that Adam is “100% back in the game.”
For his Round 2 song, Chris sung “Brother, Brother” (what’s going on) with his guitar. Randy found it a little bit light for the competition tonight. Kara called Chris - true to himself. Paula said Chris “tore that song up.” Simon said the song was too laid back for the night and sounded like three friends in their bedroom strumming along to Marvin Gaye. He then added, Round 2 goes a million per cent to Adam.
For Round 3, both Adam and Chris had to sing the same song “Every Step you Climb Another Mountain,” written by Kara and a couple of other song writers. Randy found it “pitchy in places”. Kara was proud of Adam. Paula was left in awe and said she would be a fan of Adam’s forever. Simon judged Adam to have been one of the best and most original contestants that American Idol had ever had on the show. Simon said he genuinely believed with all his heart that we have found a worldwide star. Wow!
Chris sung his version of Kara’s song, which wasn’t quite as good as Adam’s performance. The comments coming from the judges were not that strong for Chris’s version. Randy said the song started in a key that was a bit high for his voice. Kara didn’t want him to be judged for this performance but rather on his other performances. Paula said he had done an amazing job. Simon praised him for his first song of the night, “Ain’t no Sunshine.”
So the contest is over for another season on American Idol. Tomorrow night it’s decision day on the show. Who will win? Adam came out a winner in tonight’s show, two rounds for him, one round going to Chris. The countdown to the next American Idol tomorrow night is on. The suspense is killing me.

Mel Gibson's Russian Mistress Pregnant
Hollywood gossip finally confirmed. Mel Gibson’s Russian mistress is finally pregnant. Didn’t take long. After denials of any relationship whatsoever, Oksana Grigorieva has finally realized the financial benefits of getting knocked up by Mel. Hell, if the relationship doesn’t work out in two or three years, at least she will get some nice child support.
Grigorieva is already in the second trimester.
According to TMZ reports, Gibson, a holy Catholic has told his estranged wife Robyn and their kids. Robyn doesn’t really care because she is so over him and is looking forward to the equal division of assets and property. Oh, the check to come! Anyways, she was tired of the embarrassment of middle aged Mel, his drunk driving charges and numerous affairs during the course of the marriage. She had Mel when he was in his prime. Grigorieva gets old Mel. Old Mel, not so religious after all.

American Idol Results Night
I should have posted earlier, but as it was, I was not available. I did, indeed, watch Wednesday night's American Idol, but alas, I was not able to write. So it's a belated posting on last Wednesday's American Idol Results night. I'm not well. Just the facts, folks.
It's down to just three final contestants. Danny Gokey, Chris Allen and Adam Lambert.
We got to see the hometown heroes welcome for the three of them. Feeling like a Hollywood star for a day. That must be great. Can't imagine it. Wow.
Danny Gokey is going home after 88 million votes. Now the battle remains between Chris and Adam. It depends on what America thinks of what they want their next American Idol to be. Do they want versatility - Adam Lambert (think of the staying power of Madonna, David Bowie who have that star quality to change with the times - versatility) or do they want Chris Allen? Chris Allen, I'm not sure if he possess that versatility and the ability to change with the times. He does well at one style of music and that's it. We want multi-tasking. A wide range of talent. Who's the deal on American Idol?

One Week Away from the Final Show on American Idol
It’s just one week away from the final show on American Idol tonight. We have the top three finalists who have visited their home towns and been heroes for a weekend. This is also the 300th episode of American Idol amid rumours that perhaps Simon will be leaving the show. We hope not. What will we do without Simon?
The top three finalists, Danny Gokey, Chris Allen and Adam Lambert first sang songs chosen by the judges. Danny sung “Dance Little Sister”, chosen for him by Paula Abdul. Chris sung “Apologize” chosen by Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. Simon chose Adam’s song, “One” by U2. Why’d Simon choose this one for Adam? Well, Simon says, it’s his favourite song.
I found Danny’s performance a little bit “ho-hum”. Randy liked it. Kara didn’t. Paula thought Danny had done an excellent job and Simon called his vocals “very good”. Ho-hum.
Chris sung “Apologize” with his piano onstage. His rendition is really good, a nice slow version. Randy like it. Kara didn’t seem to like it much. Paula noticed a “bum note,” though she loved the song. Simon found his song “competent.”
Simon chose Adam’s song. Interesting. Simon had announced yesterday on television that he would put his money on Adam to win because Adam has “It” with a capital “I”. Simon even mentioned on American Idol tonight that he had called up Bono and asked for permission for Adam to sing “One” on American Idol… to which Bono replied it was his pleasure that Adam sung “One” on American Idol. Imagine that!
Adam’s version of “One”, well it gave me shivers in a good way and Mr. Cowell was all smiles while Adam sung. Guess it was a pleaser. Randy declared Adam “in the Zone.” Kara was amazed. Paula called his performance “brilliant.” And Simon thought his song was a “brilliant song choice.” Haha. However, Simon added, however, if Adam is not one of the finalists, it will be one of the biggest upsets on the show. You know what he means.
For their final three songs, the finalists on American Idol chose their own songs. Danny Gokey sung “You are so Beautiful,” which all the judges loved. Chris sung “Heartless” which was excellent and even better than the original version by Kanye West, so said Randy. Adam’s song was Aerosmith’s “Crying” – which everyone loved. Simon said that Adam deserves the vote because the vote is based on talent.
So tomorrow night, we’ll see who is eliminated on American Idol. The countdown is really on now.

Miss California USA to Keep Her Title
Okay, keep your title Miss California, it's fine by me, nothing wrong with the pics, but keep your mouth shut. We expect beauty but no brains.
"Miss California USA Carrie Prejean will keep her title – despite controversies surrounding her, including her views on same-sex marriage and some semi-nude photos, Donald Trump has decided.Source: Read more... at People.com
"She gave a very honest answer when asked a tough question," Trump, a co-owner of the pageant, said Tuesday at a New York press conference with Prejean sitting at his side, reports the Los Angeles Times. "It was the same answer the president of the United States gave ... She has to be commended."
Of the revealing photos, Trump said: "We are in the 21st century. We have determined that the pictures taken were fine."
Simon Puts His Money on Adam Lambert
I totally agree with Simon's judgement, yesterday, as I've been saying all the time on Celebrity Rag News. Adam Lambert has "IT". He's the whole package, someone with the potential to be a "Star".
"Simon Cowell says he thinks Adam Lambert will win this season of 'American Idol,' telling Oprah Winfrey on Monday that his money is on the belter because the contestant is fearless, unique and "he's got swagger."
He went on: "I think he's got that 'it' and I think he's fearless and unique."

Kiefer Sutherland Denies 'wrongdoing' in Assault
Bad Boy Celeb News:
The '24' actor - who is accused of headbutting Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough and breaking his nose in New York last week - has released a statement via his attorney Michael C. Miller insisting he was not at fault.
Miller said: "We are troubled by the untruthful and self-serving information circulating regarding Kiefer Sutherland and events of last Monday evening (04.05.09). We are confident, however, that the investigation being conducted by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and the NYPD will confirm that Kiefer Sutherland was neither the instigator nor a wrongdoer in this incident."

American Idol Reveals the Top 3 of Season 8
Allison Iraheta is going home.
Tonight American Idol revealed the top 3 contestants of Season 8. Remaining in the show are Danny Gokey, Chris Allen, Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert.
The finalists performed a group song, “School’s Out,” with Slash on the guitar and Paula Abdul performed for the first time on the American Idol stage.
Paula showed us she still can dance and sing, wearing a brief little costume, singing “I’m just here for the Music,” showing the audience she’s still got it going.
Gwen Stefani of the group No Doubt also performed “Just a Girl” and included with her song and dance routine 5 push-ups man-style. The girl is gorgeous.
Lastly, Chris Daughtry, a finalist from Season Five, gave us a new single from his “Leave this Town” record.
Now, how’d the contestants do? Chris Allen is safe. Adam is safe (of course), Danny is safe (surprise).
I was almost brought to tears to learn that Allison is going home. She's a star and we will probably be hearing from her again very soon. I have absolutely no clue as to why Danny Gokey is still on the show and Allison is voted off. The difference in talent is as clear as comparing a mole hill to a mountain. Right in front of your eyes.
With her last song, that Janis Joplin number, “Cry Baby”, she is powerful, her emotions belt out the song. It’s from the heart. Here's a true artist before your eyes. It was probably the best performance of a “goodbye song” any contestant has ever sung before they depart the American Idol stage. She’s an artist we haven’t heard the last of. You could watch the judges, Simon looked a little pissed off that she’s been voted off and I’m sure, at the same time, he sees in her the star she really is. Kara, Paula and Randy are worshipping this young songstress as she sings. I guess the world is full of stupid surprises...
So our finalists, Chris, Adam and Danny G get to go home to their heroes’ welcome home event.
I know for sure who’s going home next on American Idol, unless the world is really full of stupid surprises.

American Idol Rock ‘n Roll Duets Night
It’s American Idol’s Rock ‘n Roll Duets night and we are down to the final four contestants, Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Chris Allen and Danny Gokey.
T’was the first night there’s been no dress rehearsal because of a tower collapsing on the stage. Alas! The show must go on.
Slash, legendary lead guitarist from Guns and Roses is mentor for the night. I think he sees Adam as the best performer, but that was just a gut feeling like when you see something is good and you just know it.
Adam starts the night off incredibly, making it difficult for anyone to top his performance with a “Whole Lotta Love.” Well, if you’ve been reading my postings, you’ll know that I’m thinking Adam’s gonna win the show, (I could be wrong, of course.) Adam is it. Wow, a true artist, whose strength just might be rock ‘n roll. We shall see.
Randy Jackson loved Adam’s performance and said he’s a rock star tonight and that Adam and Slash should make an album together. Kara DioGuardi judges him “a rock star.” Paula Abdul calls Adam “a whole lotta perfect,” and Simon, jokingly called his performance “understated.” But we know Simon is only joking. Tongue in cheek. Adam, Simon states, has just performed one of his favourite performances that Adam had ever given. However, Simon says, the problem is, and there’s always a problem for Simon, that nobody can top Adam’s performance tonight. There, you have it, the night has started off rather well for Adam. With a great big bang, I should say.
Allison sings “Cry Baby”, but although I like this girl, I have to honestly say she didn’t give her best performance tonight. That’s my thought. Randy didn’t love it either. Kara thinks it’s not the right choice of song but believes Allison transforms when she gets on the stage. Paula foretells that if ever a movie is made about Janis Joplin, Allison would play the role of Janis, and so she should. I mean, who else could play that role? Most actresses can't belt out a song like Allison. Simon told Allison, he had seen her complete confidence on the stage, but she had picked the wrong song.
Chris Allen and Danny Gokey were up next to perform “Renegade,” together as a duet. Well, I didn’t like it. They are not rock ‘n rollers. It was sort of mundane. Banal. Mediocre. Randy liked the harmonies, Kara noticed pitchy moments, and Paula said “Good job.” (that means you made the effort but the results weren’t exactly as we had hoped). All Simon could say, was “who was better? Okay, Danny was better.” Could Simon have possibly been: not enthralled??? Was Simon feeling tired tonight?
Then it was Chris’ chance to sing his chosen version of the Beatles song, “Come Together.” Randy loved Chris’ guitar playing and enjoyed the song. Ho-hum… Ms Kara found Chris to be trying too hard and that it was not a great performance. Paula, always gentle in her judgment, judged the song a difficult one, but “you’re an artist,” and he needed a little more energy. Mr. Contrary (I mean, Simon) didn’t like it, comparing it to the experience of eating ice for lunch… “it will leave you with nothing to remember afterwards, a bit like eating ice for lunch”… Wilted salad… Disappointing. Let down.
Danny, next upm sung “Dream On.” Randy found it “alright”. Kara thought Danny had taken the advice to “get more swagger," a little too far… and it “wasn’t perfect”. Please don’t swagger, Danny. Not a tune I’ll be downloading. Simon, au contraire, found that he agreed with everyone and that Danny’s rendition of the last note was like watching a horror show; that Danny’s scream at the end was like a scream from Friday the 13th. Gawd! Wouldn’t ya just shrivel if you got these kind of comments? I would have.
So after that weak performance, the evening ended with a duet of Allison and Adam. Now, these two being my favourites, I sat on the couch, eagerly awaiting their performance. They performed perfectly together on the stage, their performance was great to watch – one could not be disappointed by their singing, their artistry, their moves, their swagger, all perfect.
Randy judged Adam and Allison to be the seasoned rock stars in the house. Kara said this is what is right in a duet, and that the two of them should do an album together. Paula, the symbolic mother, said the two of them should be married, artistically, of course. And Mr. Simon Cowell declares that in the battle of the duets on American Idol, these two win the show. And, Adam, says Simon, may have given Allison a chance to stay in the competition.

Kirstie Alley and Her Weight Gain
Kirstey Alley has recently gained back all 75 pounds that she once lost when she went on the Jenny Craig program. She opened up to Oprah on her national television show about her weight loss issues, or rather, should we say - her weight gain issues.
She blames her weight gain on her falling off the Jenny Craig diet program. Her goal is to wear that bikini again. "We're in the middle of a recession, and I decide, yes, I'm going to create my own business," she said. "I'm going to lose 80 pounds. I'm going to be in a bikini again."
When asked by Oprah what she thought of Valerie Bertinelli's recent weight loss, all Kirstey could do was scream... "Aaaaaaargh! At least she's honest and not one of the celebrities who suffer from the opposite problem - anorexia or bulimia. Also, gotta hand it to her, she certainly is a brave girl, to face the public and yikes! admit her failure. But ya gotta love her, she's brutally honest and humourous.
