Ellen DeGeneres' first official American Idol photos were released Tuesday by Fox.

The new judge, 51, is all smiles while leaning on a microphone in the shot.

The 9th season kicks off Jan. 12 with a two-night, four-hour season premiere.

DeGeneres -- who replaced Paula Abdul -- won't appear on the show until February.

In the meantime, celebs like Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Katy Perry and Shania Twain will judge the auditions.

"I'm very excited to be on the show," DeGeneres has said. "I will tell you that right now. I just continue to be excited every single day."

Charlie Sheen's a Pro Despite Crisis

Despite the Christmas fiasco and the celebrity news that comes with fiascos, experienced by Charlie Sheen and his wife Brooke Mueller, it appears that Charlie showed up at work, on the set, professional as always.

"It was business as usual for Charlie Sheen when he showed up for work on the Two and a Half Men set on Monday, just 11 days after a heated fight with his wife Brooke Mueller led to his arrest.

"He's been incredibly professional, always, but especially in times of personal crisis," Jon Cryer, Sheen's co-star on the hit comedy, tells PEOPLE. "He is solid as a rock [and] today was no different. … It's a very funny episode so it went well. Thankfully a good script can get everybody through awkward moments."

Which is not to say Sheen isn't feeling the strain. "He was in his usual good humor on read-through day but obviously with the weight of something hanging on him a bit," Cryer adds.

Cryer, who says he reacted with "total shock" when he read about the arrest on the Internet on Christmas Day, stands behind Sheen. "He's been a good friend to me and it's painful," he says. "I love them both and they're a lovely couple.... I don't see that side of him. To me, he's been a great, loyal friend and a lovely guy to work with. He's a guy who dotes on his kids as much as any other father."

Of particular disappointment is Sheen's apparent alcohol relapse. "I know Charlie was immensely proud of his years of sobriety and I think that is the hardest thing they're both dealing with right now," says Cryer. "I know it was very important to him and I'm sure that's one of the saddest aspects for him."

Two and a Half Men's creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre insists any off-camera issues have never made their way onto the set.

"In seven years and one hundred and fifty-two episodes, Charlie has never been anything other than a total pro. No entourage, no star trips, just a professional actor doing his job," Lorre tells PEOPLE. "Apart from a few sick days and some babies being born, he hasn't missed a day of work. Beyond that he's been a good friend and colleague who's always fun to work with."

"The singer-and-actress' delight at the daring Paula Bradley-designed catsuit she sported for her appearance on 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' last week was clear to see, says her make-up artist Scott Barnes.

He revealed: "She said, 'It looks cool, right?' She was so excited. She said 'I like it!' She was having such a good time and it really showed. She has confidence about her body. She's not hiding behind any insecurities."

Despite the raunchy outfit, Scott insists it is not as revealing as it seemed on television.

He explained to People magazine: "It was nude with black mesh over it. She wasn't that cold. It was like having a ski suit on underneath."

While mother-of-two Jennifer was comfortable with the outfit, Scott believes it took a lot of "guts" to wear something so revealing in public.

He added to People magazine: "The bodysuit is right up there with her Versace dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards. After a decade in the public eye, most women wouldn't have the guts to wear something like that but she is so confident. She's a woman and she celebrates it. Everyone else is trying to be a size zero but not her."

Law 'Plans To Meet New Baby'

In this celeb gossip on Jude Law and his love child - he is finally going to meet the baby girl.

Jude Law has reportedly reached out to the mother of his lovechild in a bid to set up a first meeting with his daughter.

The Sherlock Holmes star became a father the fourth time when American model Samantha Burke gave birth to Sophia in September.

Law, who has three kids with ex-wife Sadie Frost, has reportedly stayed away since the birth and has yet to meet the baby.

The love child was said to be conceived after a fling while the actor was working in New York.

Law has reached out to Burke and is said to be willing to meet his daughter for the first time according to the News of the World.

A source tells the publication, "(Law plans to visit) within a few weeks. She's (Burke) over the moon. She was hurt he had not seen Sophia."
